Cant Get There From Here

Weve been playing the Wind Waker lately here. Jaime started it up a couple weeks ago. After watching her play for a while I decided Id better go through and get everything (something I have never done with this Zelda). Well I found out today that, after getting about half way through the plot, Ive missed my opportunity to get some of the Pictograph Figurines. The figurines are one of the most interesting, hardest to accomplish, and lowest gain side quests in any Zelda game. Its also one of the few I have never completed. So I guess that means I have to start over.

Wi Fi Wii Fii

I was looking around on the Wii Weather Channel the other day. Its pretty cool, you can get your local weather, or switch to the world view and spin the globe around and see the temperature everywhere else. So, it was about 110 degrees here in the city of the sun, and the only places that were hotter, in the entire world, were Baghdad and Djibouti. (Ive intended to post this for a couple days now but I just couldnt figure out a its too hot in Djibouti joke.)

For what seems like decades now, Ive been looking for an old Nintendo Game that I played at Trent Jostens house. I had only played it there and never saw it again. Periodically, Id check the eBay, look at Game Stop and search on the internets. Id never come up with anything. All I knew about the game was that your a little guy with a wand who could make blocks appear and disappear and you had to collect a key and go through a door. Well guess whos the happiest boy in the whole wide world thanks to his Wii. You guessed it, I am. I was browsing the Wii Shop Channel and low and behold, there it was. Solomons Key. Naturally I plugged my credit card number in and spent 500 Wii points to download it, and its awesome.

Nothings Fine, Im Torn

...and Im pretty excited. I have the whole day off tomorrow. Everyone else has to work. Theres no family in town. And Im almost done with my Zelda. I wont be able to do everything on the Zelda tomorrow. I could probably get through the rest of the plot but I havnt done very much as far as side quests go. Im sure I could spend the entire day on the side quests as well and still not get them done either. The crappy thing is I work the 4 days after that, then my dads in town for a couple days, then I work, the Deal or No Deal auditions (assuming I get the day off) then work some more. So this puts me at April 16th as the earliest Ill have the house to myself again. (Potentaly not until the 20th.)

I Like Pumpkin Seeds

OK, so Ive been Wiiing it up latelly, and weve got the Zelda and the Wii Sports. Normally when a new Zelda games comes into the house theres no other games played, period (Do you still need to put a "." in when you type the word period?) Ive gots to say, this frickin Wii Sports is genious. Its very simple, but massivly addictive. I was torn all day. Do I play the Zelda or do I try to beat my best golf score?

You might be thinking: What? How coult this possibly be? A game that can distract Dave from the new Zelda? That Zelda must not be that good. Well I have this to say: It is that good. Its the best Zelda game Ive ever played (so far, Im only through the first dungeon). That damn Wii Sports is just that good, too.

So with that said, you all own the Wiis now too I believe. How come youre not talking about how its the best system ever. Because it is. If you dont have somthing to blog about just let us know how awesome the Wii is today and there you go. Its what Jack Black wants you to do.

Dan went down to South Friday night. He was gone for 3 days. Today he came back. He came back with a Wii. Im abandoning my current video game project. I go Wii now.

Its a Secret to Everybody

In this post I talked about how I had nearly accomplished everything in the FF7. At that point I had intended to still get my mans to level 99 (which Ive now done), have all my mans equiped with their own sets of materia (which Ive done), buy every item in the game and 99 of the ones that you can use more then 1 of (which Ive done), and max out my Gil (which I have not done). I assumed that you wouldnt be able to get more then 9,999,999 gil. I was wrong. Curently I have 7.8 million gill and no intention of finding out if you can get more then 100 million. On to the next video game project.

In the absence of a Wii, Ive decided to play every Zelda game in order of release with no help from stratigy guides or online forums. This should take me a couple months and by that time we should be able to get a Wii and the new Zelda, Twilight Princess.  Tuesday Ibeat the Legend of Zelda and today I plan on gong through The Adventure of Link.

Im living with Dan again. This means I have access to Final Fantasy 7 again. Which means I spend every spare minute playing Final Fantasy 7. Ive beat the game before. Ive gotten almost everything in the game before. Up until now I had done everything but defeat the Emerald and Ruby Weapons. I have now concured them. 96 logged hours. Level 93 Cloud. Golden S Class Chocobo. Master Summon, Magic and Command Materia. Over 2.4 million Gil on hand. All thats left is to get all my mans up to level 99.
