I just spent 25 minutes on the phone to have Jaime added to my insurance. The majority of the time was spent listening to some smooth jazz while on hold. Im pretty sure I only talked to a person for about 64 seconds.I dont know what socialized health care would mean for me. But I cant imagine it could be worse. What Id like to see is government provided preventative health care. Every year, say during your birthday month, youd be able to go to the doctor and have a complete check up done. Twice a year youd be able to go to the dentist and have a cleaning and x-rays. Routine vaccinations would be covered. Basically, anything that most doctors recommend you do to prevent yourself from getting sick should be covered by some government sponsored health care. I really dont know much more about it all other then Im tired of paying thousands of dollars a year for coverage for my family and then also having to turn around and pay hundreds more in deductables and copays just to get simple checkups done.
