Wi Fi Wii Fii

weatherwoman.jpgI was looking around on the Wii Weather Channel the other day. Its pretty cool, you can get your local weather, or switch to the world view and spin the globe around and see the temperature everywhere else. So, it was about 110 degrees here in the city of the sun, and the only places that were hotter, in the entire world, were Baghdad and Djibouti. (Ive intended to post this for a couple days now but I just couldnt figure out a its too hot in Djibouti joke.)

solomonkey.jpgFor what seems like decades now, Ive been looking for an old Nintendo Game that I played at Trent Jostens house. I had only played it there and never saw it again. Periodically, Id check the eBay, look at Game Stop and search on the internets. Id never come up with anything. All I knew about the game was that your a little guy with a wand who could make blocks appear and disappear and you had to collect a key and go through a door. Well guess whos the happiest boy in the whole wide world thanks to his Wii. You guessed it, I am. I was browsing the Wii Shop Channel and low and behold, there it was. Solomons Key. Naturally I plugged my credit card number in and spent 500 Wii points to download it, and its awesome.

Get Me a Figure Skate and a Coconut

blacktooth.JPGIve finally done it. I have a dentist apointment. On July 16th Im finally going to have my wisdom tooth extracted. It was only 6 years ago that my dentist said, "on your next visit well pull those wisdom teeth out for you so they dont give you any trouble down the road". Fortunitally, I didnt have any insurance by my next visit and havent had any until now.

The tooth is black and broken. Its hollowed out and has jaged edges. Food gets stuck in it and when I try to fish it out with my tounge it gets cut. There are times when I have to take pain medication just to fall asleep.  I cant wait for Monday the 16th. It will be a glorious day.

Happy Birthday America

mob.gifWe just got back from the fire works. The temperature just dropped below 100 for the evening and were getting ready for bed.

3 hours ago: We were sitting on the couch in the comfort of our AC, watching some Friends DVDs. We had talked about going to see the fireworks earlier but it was still about 108 degrees out as the sun was setting. We werent very excited about going down town and fighting with the 1.5 million other people that live in this city for a parking spot only to have to sit in pools of our own sweat. Finally, Jaime said LETS GO! And I said OK!

fireworks.jpgA couple miles south of our appartment is a small mountian preserve that has trails you can hike. We decided that wed check that out. If we could make it to the top wed be able to see everything. So we filled up our water bottles, put on our hiking boots and went out. After about  half an hour of hiking we started getting to the steeper stuff. We turned around to see how far we had come and below us was all of north and west Phoenix. Then we noticed that we could see fireworks in 3 different places. We decided to get a little bit higher and sat down and watched the show. Over the next hour we were able to see 5 different fireworks shows. It was amazing. All around us there were bright flashes of red, white and blue. You could only faintly hear the explosions but the sight of it was magical.
