When 64tacos was first conceived, Katohater and Stemshul reviewed several movies using a 64 tacos system. Later deemed too complicated and inefficient, it was dropped for a simpler system. Currently all movies reviewed on the site can receive a review of "Watch It" or "Dont Watch It". Either review will be accompanied with either a ".", "!" or "?" for emphasis. An over simplified explanation, would compared it to 4 star systems used by other critics.
Watch It! = 4 Stars
Watch It. = 3 Stars
Dont Watch It. = 2 Stars
Dont Watch It! = 1 Star
Watch It. = 3 Stars
Dont Watch It. = 2 Stars
Dont Watch It! = 1 Star
Generally speaking, if the movie receives a Watch It review, it was enjoyed by the reviewer. Conversely, a movie receiving a Dont Watch It review was not enjoyed. To merit an ! rather then a ., a movie has to be more then just entertainment. It must be a true work of art or, in the case of a Dont Watch It, a disgrace to the art form.
The addition of the ? indicates that the reviewer doesnt feel confident in his review. Perhaps its because he enjoyed a movie that was deliciously terrible. Watch it? Or didnt like a movie that was technically sound. Dont Watch It? In either case, reviews with a ? dont fit into the traditional 4 star system.
