Were in the middle of a cold spell right now. We had a high of 93 today. I almost turned the heat on when I got home from work.
Weve got a 2 year plan right now. 2 years in Phoenix and then its back to the world of real weather, Colorado.
We just paid off 1 of our credit cards and could be able to pay another one off by the end of summer. At this time next year we should have a 3rd credit card nearly paid off and then in August the Man Scorpion will be owned in full. Hopefully, by this time in 2 years well have the 4th credit card paid off and only have 1 left. (The last card s about 64% of our debt right now.)
With all this debt paid off and the low housing costs in Colorado, we should be set up well to buy a house right when we move. Well probably have to buy a second car due to the bike hostile weather but that shouldnt be much trouble.

sounds like a good plan.
Credit cards are great...until the bill comes. How on earth did we spent that much? About 2 years ago Matt and I had 6 credit cards between the two of us and now we are down to one. Yeah us!! Debt sucks.
No joke...it was about 74 at 7 a.m. today, and one of the teachers I work with commented on how "chilly" it was this morning.
I don't know how you guys can take that heat day after day. We were in the upper 90s for a couple of days here (same dry heat) and I was about at my limit. Where in Colorado are you thinking?
i'm sure it's dry and all up there in washington, but i would hardly call it the "same dry heat" as in a desert. if you have a lawn, you have more water in the air than we do. but i'm sure your 90-degree "dry heat" was pretty unbearable.
Honestly, the heat isnt that bad. If you dont have to be in the sun then its very tolerable. My biggest complaint is the lack of diversity in the weather. Sure warm and sunny is great but I like to see clouds more then twice a month.
Right now weve got it narrowed down to close enough to Denver that we can make a day trip out of using Broncos season tickets. In a couple weeks when we get our new address Im going to get on the waiting list. There is a 7-10 year wait right now.
Well, dry heat in the sense of lack of precipitation. Yakima, WA gets about 8 inches of rain a year (and is considered a desert climate) and I think Phoenix is just under 8. So roughly similar. People here definitely would not have lawns if they stopped watering for a couple of weeks. I am sure we have much more cloud cover though (though none last weekend). The humidity percent for the heat of the day for our little heatwave was running about ten percent higher than what it looks like you guys normally have on a regular day. Cool nights definitely pump moisture back into the air though whereas it looks like from the data that Phoenix stays dry pretty much 24/7. So, right, not quite the same, but definitely not Michigan muggy July day heat.
7-10 years? Guess it beats being a Packers fan.
phoenix is gay.
also, you don't seem to mention your annual snow fall of 24.6 inches. is that not a form of precipitation?
take a look at the relative humidity for yakima and tucson.
Oh really? Does Phoenix like to have sex with other cities of the same gender?
yeah, i watched it on the internet, so it must be true.
